Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Summertime is high season in Beaufort. To find the best value, change your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Finding the perfect vacation home in Beaufort:

  • Choose dates and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Contemporary townhome with patio, grill, balcony, W\/D, & walkable location has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking websites. If not, contact the property management company before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, NC attraction you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • During check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
