Our top Beaufort, NC rental property booking tips:

When to book & When to go:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Book your rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Filter your rental search:

  • Begin by selecting vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Upscale Bungalow - 129 Craven Street\n300 feet from Beaufort Waterfront has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before you reserve the property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, NC beach you crave, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of issues.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the rental manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
