Strategies to get the perfect vacation home experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • Summer is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Booking your Beaufort, NC vacation home in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking the perfect Beaufort, NC vacation home:

  • To start, have your family agree to a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Oceanfront Condo-Sleeps 4-Newly Renovated has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC attraction you love, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect your property!
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
