Finding the best Atlantic Beach vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To book the most suitable rental for your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Beaufort, NC restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to pick the best vacation home in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Direct oceanfront\/ A Place at the Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the host before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking

Additional considerations:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. text the property manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to compel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
