Our top Rental booking tips:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Book your rental home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

How to pick the best rental in Beaufort:

  • Choose your vacation dates and max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Dog-friendly cottage across from the water in a walkable neighborhood has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the host before you book the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, NC attraction you love, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
  • If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
