Tricks and tips to get the best Beaufort rental home experience:

When to visit Beaufort & When to book:

  • Summer months are high season in Beaufort. To find the largest vacation home within budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides have coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Choosing the best vacation home in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. New with Water Views, Pet Friendly, 5 minutes from Historic Beaufort Waterfront. has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you book your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out which bed configuration is right for your trip.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • At Check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
