Tips to get the perfect Beaufort, NC vacation home experience:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • Summertime is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. To find the best value, change your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Start by selecting your trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Home with golf cart, community pool, easy access,Spinnakers Reach community has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before reserving your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the host right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
