Strategies to get the perfect vacation home experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • Summer is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. To book the most suitable rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
  • The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for local accommodations and attractions.

How to pick the perfect rental home in Atlantic Beach:

  • Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. License to Chill - Atlantic Beach, ~NC~ has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. If not, email or call the host before booking the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, NC destination you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.

Know before you go:

  • Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
