Booking the best Emerald Isle vacation rental experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • To find the largest vacation home for your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Beaufort, NC restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
