Our top Rental home tips:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • Booking in Fall or Spring months is a great way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing and booking a perfect Beaufort, NC rental:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. New Condo, Pool View, Walk to Beach, Arcade! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before you book your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or might be applied to your agreement.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Record any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if there is a dispute.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to compel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
