How to get the best Indian Beach vacation rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Booking your vacation home in Spring or Fall is a great way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Planning, picking, and booking the bestvacation home:

  • First, have your family decide on vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Ocean Club K102, Soundview Condo in Indian Beach, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
