Tips for getting the perfect Emerald Isle rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. To get the best vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Choosing the perfect rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Choose your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 4BR Ocean Front - King MBR with Views! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
