When to reserve a Beaufort, NC rental home & When to go:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, NC area. Reserve your Beaufort, NC vacation home in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose your dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Ocean Views and Pool, King Bed, Beach Access at end of Driveway! has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often available online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • Note any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
