Tips and Tricks to get the very best Beaufort, NC vacation home experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Summer months are high season in the Beaufort, NC area. To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Filter your search:

  • Start by having your family agree to trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Oceanfront, 1st-Floor Condo with Deck, Ocean Views, WiFi, W\/D & Shared Pool has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Is your family looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

Have a great stay:

  • Add the host's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the property manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
