Vacation rental booking tips:

When to reserve a Beaufort, NC rental home & When to go:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in Emerald Isle. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer special rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides which often include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Begin by choosing vacation dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Sound Of The Sea West 404, Oceanfront Condo in Emerald Isle, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.

Have a great stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • During check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
