Strategies for getting the perfect Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Summer time is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Reserve your Beaufort, NC rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.

How to pick the perfect vacation rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Rita's Restful Oceanview has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, NC beach you crave, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental

Advice for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great time? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
