Tricks and tips to get the best Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • To get the largest rental home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain offers and deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to choose and book your prefect Beaufort, NC rental:

  • Choose your dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Unit 179 is a 2 BR\/2 ba condo on 1ST floor overlooking the pool & courtyard. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, email the host before you reserve the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is suitable for your family.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Tips for a smooth stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Upon check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
