Strategies to get the best vacation home experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • To get the best value, change your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, management companies supply Beaufort, NC area travel guide magazines which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to select the best vacation rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • To start, have your group agree to dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Oceanfront Townhouse, The NEW G-5 completely remodeled Spring 2019! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before reserving your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your family.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many concerns.
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • At Check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
