Tricks and tips to get the very best vacation rental experience:

When to visit Emerald Isle & When to book:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Make a plan and pick a perfect Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Oceanfront views galore, steps from beach and pool has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC attraction you are enamored with, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Upon check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many difficulties.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
