How to book the best rental experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Emerald Isle rental home:

  • Summer months are high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Booking your Beaufort, NC vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to select the perfect rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • First and foremost, have your family decide on trip dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Pebble Beach A-304, Oceanfront Condo in Emerald Isle, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you reserve the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what is best for your vacation.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC attraction you are enamored with, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Have a great stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Upon arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your life at home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
