Rental home tips:

Money saving strategies:

  • Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing the perfect rental home in Emerald Isle:

  • Start by choosing your vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. POOL & DOGS WELCOME! Easy Beach Access has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property owner before you reserve the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Additional considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Upon arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
