Tips and Tricks to get the very best vacation rental experience:

When to book a Beaufort, NC rental & When to go:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.

Selecting and booking the best Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • Select dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Clean, affordable, and a short walk to the beach! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many issues.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to propel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
