Our top Rental property booking tips and tricks:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Summertime is high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the best value, shift your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

How to select the perfect vacation rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Oceanfront Atlantic Beach, NC, Direct Beach Access, Path to Ocean on Property has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. message the host immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
