Finding the best Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Summer months are high season in Atlantic Beach. To find the best value, consider changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Select your vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Reef Points Wardroom in Atlantic Beach, NC has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the host before you book your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.

More considerations:

  • Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the rental manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful stay? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
