Tips and Tricks for getting the best Beaufort, NC rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Book your Beaufort, NC rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning and picking the right Beaufort, NC vacation home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Salt Life- Oceanside Home in Atlantic Beach, NC has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always available online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental

Additional considerations:

  • Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • During check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
