  • The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
