Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Beaufort, NC vacation home experience:

Find your perfect vacation home:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summer time is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Booking in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting and booking the bestvacation home:

  • First, have your group decide on the best dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Summer Winds 421, Oceanfront Condo in Indian Beach, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available online. If not, call the property manager before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your vacation.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of problems.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
