Our top Beaufort, NC vacation rental tips:

When to visit Pine Knoll Shores & When to book:

You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Beaufort, NC restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies supply Beaufort, NC area travel guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Start by selecting potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Sweet Dreams, Oceanfront Home in Pine Knoll Shores, NC! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before booking the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is right for your group.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, NC attraction you simply love, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
  • If your family is traveling with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
