Tips for getting the best Beaufort vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer time is high season in Beaufort. To get the most suitable rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

How to pick the perfect rental:

  • Start by selecting trip dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Waterfront Condo Getaway has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the host before booking the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your agreement.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.

Tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Note any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to drive new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your review find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
