Our top Beaufort, NC rental booking tips and tricks:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Choosing the perfect vacation home:

  • Start by selecting a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Oceanfront available for the holidays! Private Beach Access has 2 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the host before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your group.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the host's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To make certain no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Contact the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
