Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Beaufort, NC vacation home experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Finding the best rental:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Tickled Pink, Oceanfront Home in Emerald Isle, NC! has 12 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property owner before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC beach you long to visit, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Have a great stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • Upon arrival, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
