Finding the best Beaufort, NC vacation rental experience:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best rental for your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Beaufort, NC attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Selecting the best rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Woody Cottage, Oceanfront House in Emerald Isle, NC! has 9 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More considerations for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • To make sure damages aren't linked to your stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. text the host immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to drive new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
