Our top Beaufort, NC vacation rental tips and tricks:

When to book a Beaufort, NC rental & When to go:

  • Booking in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. A Place At The Beach 369, Oceanside Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property manager before reserving your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • Is your group looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Upon check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
