Booking the best Beaufort, NC vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Atlantic Beach. To find the best value, try changing your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Some hosts offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

How to choose and book your prefectrental home:

  • First and foremost, have your family choose trip dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Adorable Cottage on the Canal with Boat Lift has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property management company before booking your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, NC attraction you are crazy about, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.

During your stay:

  • Add the owner's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Call the host immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
