Beaufort, NC rental home booking tips:

Finding your best deal:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • To get the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Finding the best vacation home in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Start by having your group commit to date ranges and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Hear and See the Sound of the Sea has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

More tips for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of problems.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
