Tricks and tips to get the very best rental experience:

When to book a Beaufort, NC rental & When to go:

  • Summer time is high season in Beaufort. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the best rental in Beaufort:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. 2023 townhome with private deck, seasonal pool access, & community dock has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property owner before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • To make sure damages aren't linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a great stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
