Tricks and tips to get the perfect Beaufort vacation property experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and choose yourvacation home:

  • Start by having your family select the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Beaufort Retreat, with pool, pickle ball, clubhouse, resort amenities has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the host before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.

During your stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Note any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
