Tips for getting the perfect Beaufort, NC rental experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. Booking in Fall or Spring months is a great way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Best View On The Beach! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before you book the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is right for your family.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC attraction you love, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking

More considerations:

  • Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • To make sure damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Call the property manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
