Getting the best Beaufort, NC vacation home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Booking in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing the perfect rental:

  • Choose your dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Condo on Front in Downtown Beaufort, NC has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available online. If not, contact the property management company before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is best for your trip.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or could be applied to your invoice.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the host right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
