Strategies to get the best rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer time is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. To find the best rental home within budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guides have offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.

Make a plan and choose a perfectrental home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Delightful, newly built 4-bedroom house in Indian Beach. has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, NC beach you are crazy about, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental

Advice for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Upon check-out, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
