Our top Rental home tips:

Sticking to your rental budget:

  • To find the largest rental home within your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Beaufort, NC restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain offers and deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select vacation week and max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Great Ocean & Pool Views! 2 Bed 2 Bath Luxury Condo Sleeps 6 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before booking your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is optimal for your trip.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC beach you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs may be applied to your contract.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if there is a dispute.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
