Indian Beach rental home tips and tricks:

When to go & When to book:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, NC area. To get the best value, try changing your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to choose and book a perfectrental:

  • Select vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Newly Updated Condo in Indian Beach with Ocean Views! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property owner before booking the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • Does your family require specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Additional considerations:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Upon arrival, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
