Booking the best Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

When to visit Emerald Isle & When to reserve a Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Emerald Isle. To get the best value, change your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Planning and picking the right Beaufort, NC rental:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Hollandaise, Oceanview House in Emerald Isle, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before you book the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your family.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if there is a dispute.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
