Years ago, when I was looking for a home on the island I came across this property. When I walked up the front steps for the first time, I entered into a peaceful little wonderland. Set up high on a sand dune surrounded by trees, this property is the ideal calming hideaway. Set smack dab in the middle of town, it is walking/cycling distance to nearly everything in Emerald Isle. It is 1 block from the sound and about 7 blocks to the ocean.

Strategies to get the best Beaufort, NC vacation rental experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking your vacation home in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and picking yourrental home:

  • Begin by choosing a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Island Treehouse has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before you book the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, NC destination you love, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Put the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • Note any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
