Tricks and tips to get the very best vacation rental experience:

Find your perfect rental:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, NC area. To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to select the best rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Oceanfront Townhouse Condominium has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the host before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Does your family require specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the rental manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
