Tips and Tricks to get the best Beaufort, NC rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Reserve your rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Finding the perfect rental home in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your dates, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. One More Drift- Sound Front Home in Atlantic Beach, NC has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your vacation.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC destination you simply love, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if there is a dispute.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
