How to find the best rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Selecting the perfect rental home in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Begin by choosing your trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Sands Villa 519, Oceanfront Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your group.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, NC attraction you long to visit, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Upon arrival, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to stimulate new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
