Our top Beaufort, NC rental booking tips:

How to get the best value:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your Search:

  • Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Sea La Vie- Oceanfront-Secluded-beautiful! Private pool and hot tub! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. Otherwise, email the property manager before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your group.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Considerations for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if there is a dispute.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
