How to find the best Beaufort, NC vacation home experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • Summer months are high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Booking your Beaufort, NC vacation home in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby tours and attractions.

Choosing the best rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Select vacation week and spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Sea Pearl- Exquisite New Construction with Pool and; Rooftop Deck has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property manager before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or may be applied to your invoice.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • During arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
