Tips to get the very best Beaufort, NC vacation home experience:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, NC area. Book your Beaufort, NC rental property in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area travel guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Narrow your Search:

  • Choose dates and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Sunsets and Siestas in Beaufort, NC has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the host before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your trip.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC destination you love, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.

Know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the property manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a great time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
